How to help your child with Number Formation

One of the most important concepts for Kindergarteners to learn by the time they move to first grade is how to accurately write their numbers.

When teaching number formation, here are FOUR things to remember: -Where to start -Proper Formation (where to start, direction, when to pick up pencil, and where to end) -Spacing -Encourage neat handwriting

One of the best ways to help students remember how to form their numbers is to sing a short poem or song that describes the proper formation.
