What motivates you?
I made it a goal for myself to find more “me” time this summer. Exercise is a love-hate relationship for me. I LOVE it. But, it can be time-consuming, even if you do a short 15-minute workout. Because 15 minutes doesn’t really mean 15 minutes…It usually goes like this: Change clothes, put on shoes, put up hair, get water, get music ready, drive to the gym (or to the basement), actually DO the workout, drive home, shower, and then go about your day. It is a good hour or more of our time–something none fo us have much of.
BUT…I feel like when I do make the time, I feel so much better mentally. The physical benefits used to be what motivated me back in college, but these days it is more of the mental high I have after I have finished. It resets my mind, making me more patient, ready to listen, happier, and just overall a better mom and wife.
I have been trying to go to the gym a couple of times a week, but I also make time to workout at home on the opposite days.
I have shared below my most recent “at home full body workout”–a mix of arms, legs, cardio and abs.
