Why it's okay to change your mind, and be happy with it

So many times, we feel the need to explain our choices. It might be as simple as changing plans, or changing careers, or hobbies. And I am here to tell you, those who change their mind, are the happy ones.

We struggle through our teens and early twenties, aiming to please everyone--at least I did. If I made others happy, then I thought I was happy. Turns out, I wasn't actually doing what made me happy--or at least as happy as I could be.

After speaking with a wise man, he once told me, "Those who experience the most, are the most valuable." And it's so true. Some of us might try something for a year, and realize, it's not the best fit anymore, or maybe you tried it learned from it, but the timing is off. And that is what it's all about.

Finding the right fit--at the time of life you are in now should be the ultimate goal.

Many times we find it hard to commit to things because of time, or loss of interest, and people start judging us. I can't count how many times I have heard people say, "Wow, she only did that for a few months--that must mean she can't commit to anything."

Why do we shame people for trying new things, and when they don't pan out, or they chose something different we judge people for it? Happiness is not a destination, and the seasons of our lives change all the time. It's time to focus on what is making you happy in the moment--whether you commit to it for 2 weeks, 2 years, or the rest of your life.

Have a hobby? Pursue it! Want to try direct sales--try it! Make that extra cash, and when it comes time that you cannot commit to it anymore--its OK. I am a believer that every experience helps shape and prepare you for something in your future. So, just let the haters hate--because they will never quit anyway.

Why this post? I have had questions about "are you still doing your blog?" and here is the deal--I LOVE it--but it is very time consuming...AND costs money. So, I gave it a running start, but am taking a little time pursuing something else that makes me happy right now. It is still here, and won't be going far--but at this time I am not committing my time to it like I used to. I have babies to raise, books to read, and crafts to make, and there are only so many hours in a day!

I promise to keep writing things to help you gain some new perspective when they come to me--and maybe someday the time will come for me to come back more consistently. But right now, I am doing what brings me happiness during this season of life. <3
